Featured Products

PDO II: Polydioxanone Suture
PDO II sutures are made from a synthetic polymer called poly (p-dioxanone), which is biocompatible and biodegradable. The absorption mechanism is by progressive slow hydrolytic action, providing extended wound support for up to six weeks. Strong and flexible this suture material has an excellent plastic deformation and visibility in the surgical field.
SutuCRYL: Polyglactin Suture
SutuCRYL sutures are manufactured from a poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide) polymer [Glacomer 91] and coated with poly(glycolide-co-L-lactide) [Glacomer 37] and calcium stearate with a triclosan cover that grants antibacterial properties, which are biodegradable and bioabsorbable. It’s a braided or twisted structure that provides good handling characteristics and knot security making them a popular choice among surgeons.

SUTULENE: Polypropylene Suture
SUTULENE sutures are made of synthetic, monofilament fibers that are derived from propylene, a thermoplastic polymer. They are resistant to moisture, chemicals, and bacteria, which makes them a good choice for use in contaminated or infected wounds. They have a smooth surface that reduces friction and tissue damage during insertion and removal.
SUTULON: Nylon Suture
SUTULON sutures are synthetic, monofilament, and braided surgical sutures made from nylon polymer. They are also very flexible and can conform well to the tissue being sutured, making them a good choice for use in areas where there is movement or tension. Nylon sutures are available in a range of sizes and are typically dyed for improved visibility during surgery.

Success Story
I have used the Sutumed, small pore, heavy weight polypropylene mesh for inguinal hernia repairs and am now writing a very supportive product review. I learned about Sutumed just 2 months ago and needed some 3×6 inch, 6×6 inch, and 12×12 inch pieces in a hurry and called Sutumed and received them within the week. I used them on a medical mission in Guatemala and found them easy to use, no different from the more usual polypropylene meshes from other major manufacturers, and therefore, I would recommend this mesh for inguinal and selected umbilical and femoral hernia repairs. This mesh handles well, can be cut for specific shapes and sizes, and caused no obvious problems in the multiple hernia repairs performed. And it is quite more affordable than the other brands.
I need to say that I have absolutely no financial interaction with Sutumed and am writing this review, because of the service I received and my complete satisfaction with this mesh.
